Did you encounter any challenges while writing this book? How did you overcome them? Are there any specific characters in the book that you feel particularly connected to? If so, why?  “I will always feel a profound connection to the mother and daughter who were trapped in the car, as I risked my life to save them. Shortly after rescuing them, there was an explosion, and if we had taken just a little longer, we would have all been in danger. Although I never saw them again, I believe they are part of my purpose in life.”

In your opinion, what is the most significant scene or turning point in the story, and why is it crucial to the overall narrative? my book, I recount a chilling encounter with a man who approached me, claiming he almost shot me because I resembled someone who had previously shot him. This incident occurred at a Jamaican restaurant, and he even went outside, seemingly waiting for me. Thankfully, he realized his mistake before any harm was done.

Upon experiencing this frightening incident, I immediately called my family back in Africa. They were understandably concerned for my safety, being so far away from home and encountering such dangerous situations.

Throughout my story, I delve into the emotions and challenges I faced during this unnerving event, highlighting the importance of staying connected with loved ones during times of distress and uncertainty. The incident serves as a powerful reminder of the impact our appearances and circumstances can have on our lives, and how staying in touch with family and friends provides a sense of security and support, even from a distance.  Purchase Timely Intervention on Amazon

As an author, what do you hope readers will take away from reading “Timely Intervention”? In my book, one of the key messages I hope my readers take away is the practice of empathy and compassion for each other. Through my personal experiences and encounters, I emphasize the importance of understanding and caring for others, especially when they are in need of assistance.

In a world where it has become common to record and share incidents immediately, I aim to challenge this behavior. I encourage readers not to let their first instinct be to pull out their phones and record but instead to step forward and offer help when they see someone in distress.

By promoting empathy and compassion, I believe we can foster a more connected and caring society. Small acts of kindness and genuine concern can make a significant difference in someone’s life and create a positive ripple effect in the world.

Through my book, I hope to inspire readers to be more present and responsive to the needs of others, putting aside distractions and self-interest in favor of extending a helping hand. Together, we can create a culture of empathy and compassion that enriches the lives of those around us and makes the world a better place.

Were there any surprising or unexpected moments during the writing of “Timely Intervention”? As I mentioned earlier, one of the most significant surprises in my life was the sudden passing of my mother and the subsequent journey to Africa. The emotional toll of losing her was immense, and leaving everything behind to go to Africa added to the complexity of the situation.

What struck me profoundly during that time was the overwhelming love and respect people had not only for my mother but for our entire family. My mother had been a beacon of love and kindness, and her teachings on treating others with love and compassion had a lasting impact on all of us.

Witnessing the outpouring of appreciation and the number of people who came from different places to pay their respects at her funeral was deeply moving. It served as a testament to the profound effect she had on the lives of those around her.

Throughout my book, I delve into the emotions and experiences surrounding my mother’s passing and the powerful influence she had on shaping the way our family interacts with others. Her legacy lives on through the love we continue to spread and the kindness we extend to those we encounter.

In sharing this part of my life, I hope to honor my mother’s memory and inspire readers to cherish their loved ones and embrace the values of love and kindness, leaving a positive impact on the lives of others just as she did.
