Discover the Intricate World of The Unifier by Jay Thomas

Are you looking for a novel that will take you on an exciting journey into a complex fantasy world filled with mystery and adventure? In The Unifier, author Jay Thomas introduces readers to a diverse range of characters and setting. With intricate world-building and a compelling storyline, The Unifier is a must-read for any lover of the fantasy genre.

What is the PRIMARY benefit, above all others, that your potential reader will gain from reading this book?

If I could allow a potential reader to immerse themselves in the world of The Unifier and escape, for even just a moment, I would consider my story a success. I love the idea of creating worlds from nothing. And I hope my readers are fascinated by the worlds I create.

If you had to compare this book to any other book out there, which book would it be?

The Lord of the Rings. Even though I could only hope to have the effect that J.R.R. Tolkien has had on the world.

Hundreds of thousands of books come out every year. Why should someone buy THIS book?

The front cover of The Unifier by Jay ThomasMy vision for this series is beyond unique and I can’t wait to share the rest of the story with my readers. I believe the way I narrate and illustrate this world is like nothing seen before. You are not going to be able to get the excitement from the beginning of a series quite like this one anywhere else.

Who is your target audience?

My target audience is certainly ages 18-40. Although, I have seen outliers since I released, with really positive feedback, which was amazing. Anyone interested in science fiction or fantasy is going to feel at home when they begin this story. I would hope any reader that buys this book feels the anticipation for the release of the next book. That level of excitement brings me absolute joy.

Did your environment or upbringing play a major role in your writing and did you use it to your advantage?

My environment growing up was surrounded with the ability to be creative. My parents nourished this at a very young age. Plus, they loved movies. From a very young age I was a massive fan of the fantasy greats. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter. There was no lack of availability in terms of finding a world where I could immerse myself into. When I became older, I only then realized how impactful my childhood was on my ability to create ideas from nothing.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since publishing your work?

The outpouring of support from friends and family has been exceptional. Of course getting my first positive review really showed some validation that I was to pursue my passion. Publishing your first work into the world is super nerve-wracking and intimidating, but I can’t be more excited for how well it has been received so far.

How would you describe your writing style?

I would definitely say casual. I like to hold the reader’s attention and keep them gripped, but I have no intention in confusing them and making it hard to follow with complex vocabulary and diction. I want to appeal to anyone that picks up my book, and I believe the casual style is less intimidating for less mature readers.

Are your characters pure fiction, or did you draw from people you know?

My characters are pure fiction, surprisingly enough. There are so many in book one and there probably had to be some sort of subconscious roadmap being developed in my head, but I cannot truly say that there was purposefulness in the relation to any people I know. My friends continue to certainly joke about asking me to write them into my stories.

Are you more of a character artist or a plot-driven writer?

A photograph of author Jay ThomasIt is certainly a tough choice as a writer to focus on the story versus the characters. I find myself having to say plot-driven due to the extensiveness I devoted to the remainder of the series. I have gone to exceptional lengths to how I want this world to progress and that is the only reason I will stick with my choice. However, I would agree that without complex and well-thought out characters, it is hardly a story to begin with.

What do you hope to accomplish with your book other than selling it?

Truthfully, I am absolutely obsessed with the thought of The Unifier going to the big screen. It has always been my dream and I don’t think that will change. I love what I do so very much, but my ultimate goal would be seeing The Unifier roll across the screen while I eat popcorn.
