Author and Life Coach Crystal Phillips Wants You To Know That You Are Enough With Her New Completely Transparent Book, ‘You Are Enough’
Crystal Phillips is an author, life coach and certified yoga teacher who wants you to know that you are enough. With her new completely transparent book, ‘You Are Enough’, she dives deep into self love and understanding as the keys to becoming your best self. We had the pleasure of interviewing Crystal for insight into what drove her to write this book, her goal for readers, and how we can learn to build up our own sense of worth.
Crystal explains that her main goal for writing You Are Enough was to help others understand the importance of loving themselves unconditionally. “I wanted everyone who reads my book to really feel like they are enough,” she states. “Too often we forget just how powerful we are as individuals and I want to remind people of that.” She goes on to talk about how the book is broken up into sections based on “themes of self worth, understanding our value, and accepting ourselves as we are”.
“I think it’s important for all of us to realize that nobody else has the power to decide our worth,” she says. “We have to learn to accept and appreciate ourselves from the inside out. That’s why I wrote You Are Enough—to give readers a toolkit for getting back in touch with their own sense of identity and worth.”
What inspired you to write “You are Enough: True Transparency When you own, use your voice, you own your power”? I discovered a few years ago that I write more devotionals to encourage and uplift others. I wanted to see a devotional book that had devotion, prayer, and note-taking—things I had never seen in a book before.
Could you provide an overview of the main message or theme of your book? Being able to speak the universal truths about life.
In your book, you emphasize the importance of owning and using one’s voice. Why do you believe this is crucial, and how can individuals empower themselves through their voices? Our voice is priceless and valuable. It’s how we interact, shares, discovers one another’s characters, and express our feelings.

“You are Enough” implies a message of self-acceptance and self-worth. What advice or insights do you offer to readers who may struggle with feelings of inadequacy or low self-esteem? I have to remind myself every day that God made me special and different and that no one else can duplicate what God has given me the ability to do or take my place in doing it. God formed me uniquely different from everyone else, which makes me very precious in his eyes. Your self-worth and esteem are increased by accepting to appreciate and learn about your inner self on a regular basis.
Transparency is a key aspect of your book’s title. How can practicing transparency positively impact individuals’ lives and relationships? It impacts lives because you are willing to be open in your faults and healing to become a better person. Not just with People but with yourself and God. Transparency is speaking the truth on personal life lessons and experiences.
Could you share a personal experience or anecdote that inspired or influenced your writing in “You are Enough”? In today’s society, where individuals often face societal pressures and expectations, how can someone maintain their authenticity and still feel empowered? I’m seeing it firsthand and learning how to keep my attention on myself rather than what society thinks I should be doing. Keeping in mind that you are an individual and should stick to the path that was carved out specifically for you. Doing your part in the world to inspire those who need it.
What challenges did you encounter while writing “You are Enough”? How did you overcome them? It was difficult for me to allow my words to be changed or altered while still keeping them as authentic as I could. Even though I had an IEP for special education and my English isn’t very good, I can write things that will comfort, love, and assist people who need light reading. No matter how difficult things become, consistency is my best friend. You can’t tell me no because God will send someone my way to assist me in achieving what I am unable to.
How do you hope readers will be positively impacted or transformed after reading your book? I’m hoping they’ll realize how much peace of mind they have the more they read each page, write in a notebook, and meditate. Start looking for balance and maintaining self-awareness for a healthy way of

How has your own journey towards self-acceptance and embracing your voice influenced your writing and the insights you share in the book? Always carried paper and a pen. It’s where I found my voice and penned down the things I once felt but couldn’t speak aloud to anybody else, before discarding it. The more I wrote, the more I realized that other people might have similar emotions or be struggling with the same problems I was.
