Lee McGarr is a retired pilot, federal whistleblower and an author. He has written an extensive collection of books which are fully documented, loaded with facts and proof of the corruption within the Federal Government. He aims to make the people aware as to what really goes on behind the scenes. Author of the book Unjust: Precipitant of Greed, Lee offers a raw and unfiltered look into the murky world of corruption.
Tell us about your book.
My most recent publication is third in a series of True Crime and the hijacking of our nation. It deals with the manipulation of monies exiting the U.S. Treasury and the attempt by many criminals to pervert the legal system as they steal money from individuals as well as the Federal Government.
What is the PRIMARY benefit, above all others, that your potential reader will gain from reading this book?
My books deal directly with the corruption of the District, State, and Federal Government. It demonstrates how the “Mob” as I call them work their way into the legal system and have judges make decisions that have no reference to our law whatsoever. For instance, a Unanimous Jury verdict in a trial is overturned three times by a district judge that should have never happened. A witness makes a death threat while in court on the stand and he is never charged. The list of such atrocities continues almost endlessly. All I have written about is fully documented with proof as to each event.
If you had to compare this book to any other book out there, which book would it be?
I would have to say that my books, specifically the last three, would compare with John Grisham The Innocent Man. Like his, I took the time and dedication to write the story using all the facts and included many personal comments to build the interest.
Hundreds of thousands of books come out every year. Why should someone buy THIS book?
As the old saying goes, “None are so blind as those who refuse to see.” The crimes that I write about are all around each and every person in this nation. From theft of life insurance policies to County Jails that function as execution centers. The excuse by the county sheriffs are always the same, “Well he looked healthy when we picked him up…” In my personal experience, when I was charged with civil contempt after and for writing the first of three books on this topic “Regardless of what this jury finds, I can throw you in jail.” (Assistant District Judge, G. Brent Russel) The following night I was charged with civil contempt and given a $25,000 appearance bond. I posted the bond money that the judge believed I could not make and as I was leaving the jail, one of the guards (whom I had previously met) stated “I’m glad to see you walking out of here tonight. Had you have not gone tonight; you would have never walked out.”
Later I found out who the hitman was, but only after he killed another man in his home so the county government officials and family could steal his land and money. I have written about this entire group now.
Who is your target audience?
I would have to say that the primary audience would be people in their mid-twenties to senior citizens. The events that I mainly write about occurred mostly in Oklahoma, but I am finding there are similar events across the nation that will impact all. By educating the people of this nation and making them aware of what is occurring they can see it more easily and then combat what is transpiring.
Did your environment or upbringing play a major role in your writing and did you use it to your advantage?
Perhaps a small amount in my upbringing, but the most determining factor that forced me to begin to write was after I testified against federal corruption in Washington D.C. After they had failed on multiple assassination attempts carried out against me, my then attorney told me, “Your only approach now is to write your book.” He unfortunately was terminated about two years after he instructed and coached me on writing my first and second books.
Tell us your most rewarding experience since publishing your work?
A number of times while trying to put this first book together, I expressed how difficult it was to stay focused and write. My daughter looking me in the eye and telling me that she knew I could do such, as you always told us we could do anything if we stayed focused.
How would you describe your writing style?
That is difficult to say. Things seem to take me in various directions and many factual events come to light. I try to write most as it comes to me. If possible, I like to include some of the personal events that have motivated me throughout life. I try to stay positive even though the message may not be good to hear in many cases.
Are your characters pure fiction, or did you draw from people you know?
All of the characters in my books are real people. Nothing is fictional about any of my books. In the tradition of The Innocent Man by John Grisham, I use the facts to guide. Then, I tell the story within my books.
Are you more of a character artist or a plot-driven writer?
That is a difficult question. The characters in my books are real and I follow along with what they are doing. They actually create the plot that I write about.
What do you hope to accomplish with your book other than selling it?
My entire purpose is to enlighten the people in my country as to what is happening and to reinstall the backbone of our nation, which is the Justice System. As Hubert Humphry stated back in the 60’s, “…Justice for all, If we don’t believe it, then stop saying it.”
How can our readers get in touch with you?
Probably the easiest is my website. I usually read the comments on my website daily and that would be the fastest.
Where can our readers purchase your book?
If you google my name or any of my books, there is a large selection of vendors that appear as well. If you want to buy one from me through my website, I will mail a signed copy to you.
