Ginny Dye, author of The Last Long Night, is the developer and builder of A Voice In The World Organization. The organization was founded in 2001. Members of the organization give a large part of their time and resources to empower others to make a difference with their lives. Dye has also written the teen fiction series – The Pepper Crest High Series, The Children’s Bedtime stories, when I Dream Series, and Fly to your Dream Series, a series of books about fantasy.

The Last Long Night is the fifth sequel in the Bregdan Chronicles Series. Dye writes this series around a principal; “Every life that has been lived until today is a part of the woven braid of life. It takes every person’s story to create history. Your life will help determine the course of history. You may think you don’t have much of an impact. You do. Every action you take will reflect in someone else’s life.

Someone else’s decisions. Someone else’s future. Both good and bad.” The Bregdan Chronicles are written about the Civil War Years with a cast of characters that own a plantation with slaves. The series, The Bregdan Chronicles, are an amazing work of history. I have learned more about the time period of the civil war reading the chronicles than any other teaching or history book. If more history books could be written like these chronicles we would have students that love our history. The characters in the book become a part of your thinking, your life. The books make you want to become a better person. I highly recommend The Last Long Night and actually the complete Bregdan Chronicles Series.
